Nadine and Bill have been our interim innkeepers several times. We walk out the back door and they walk in the front door and our guests hardly realize the changing of the guard. We can always leave our inn in mind as well as body when they are in charge.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed their stay at your Inn. Nadine and Bill were superb. They both complement each other very well and were extremely gracious hosts, warm and friendly thus making our stay at your Inn very enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable about the area including making excellent suggestions for dining. There was no question they were unable to answer for us. The breakfasts and the BBQ were simply great. We could see that they take a lot of interest and pride in what they do. You are very lucky to have them as part of your team. They really contributed to making us feel at home and enjoy our stay. Although we only saw Martha at breakfast, she too was very warm and friendly and served us very well. We did not get to meet the cleaning crew but they too do a phenomenal job in keeping the inn clean and inviting for your guests. You are blessed to have them work with you.
Your Inn is beautiful and we enjoyed both the indoors and outdoors. It is tastefully decorated and well maintained. I am recommending your Inn to my co-workers and friends.

My husband and I spent the 4th of July holiday weekend at your Inn and we were extremely pleased with our stay. We intended to explore the Gettysburg area and the location of the inn was perfect. At first I was skeptical as we were clearly the youngest guests (we are in our early 30s), but the staff and other patrons made us feel right at home. Bill and Nadine, the substitute hosts as the innkeeper was out due to a medical leave, were courteous, professional and personable. As with the other guests, we all became a little family over the few nights we were there and enjoyed talking about our adventures every morning over breakfast. The breakfasts by the way were scrumptious and plentiful! We will definitely stay again should we be back in the area.

If the quote holds true that “a man is known by the company he keeps” then the innkeepers must be the kindest and most hospitable people around. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful. The inn was absolutely beautiful and our room was perfect. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise every morning, we loved every bite! Superb cooks! And of course we couldn't keep away for the delicious treats. Best wishes for the future!

I was a little concerned that the owners would be out of town, but their stand-ins (Bill and Nadine) were terrific! I telephoned the night before our arrival to get restaurant recommendations and they, too, were terrific! I knew then that we were dealing with professional innkeepers. Here's another cool job. Tonight I'm at a favorite B&B close to the Hogwarts campus. (Good big four-poster beds with plush linens, fluffy Frette bathrobes, flat panel HDTV, a charming “honor” bar stocked with good wine, teas and cookies, and great creaky wooden floors from the olden days). The regular innkeepers are away on a holiday, but in their place are a couple who introduced themselves as “innsitters”. Right now they are booked for 135 nights this year. The other days they will take off for their own holidays, or to be at home. They base themselves in Bucks County, PA. “It's not our living, but it supplements what we've got and it's always interesting,” the husband told me. They limit themselves to B&B's, max ten rooms, and no restaurant beyond serving breakfast to inn guests. My take? These are very smart people.
